Lesson policy
Payments
Lessons at Groove Studios are booked and paid for by the month. Our preferred methods of payment are post dated checks or e-transfers. If you choose not to do post dated checks then payment is due on the first lesson of the month. Please keep your payments up to date. We would rather talk about music than money, and so would you.
Attendance
We require students to pay for all of the lessons in the month attended or not. You are renting a set time and space on our schedule so no makeup lessons will be allowed. We don’t expect drum lessons to be the most important thing in anyone’s life, but we would like you to honor your commitment to be here. Remember, when you decide not to come for your lesson, you are being charged for the instructor’s time and the studio’s space.
Taking a break
One months notice must be given if you decide to stop mid season. You needn’t be afraid to discontinue lessons and saying goodbye is just common courtesy to both the instructor and the person waiting for the time slot.
Non-transferable
Lessons are non-transferable – if your name is on our schedule, we expect to see you here not your “buddy” who wants to fill in for your missed lessons.
Exceptions
The only exceptions to the above policies will be (of course) extreme medical emergencies, urgent family situations, etc. If you are not sure on these, please contact the studio.
